From the photo book “Αττιϗη, ΑΥΥελιϗό ϗαι Μαυρο Φως“ about poetry and landscape in Attica, I selected and cut out DinA6-sized motifs. I removed and added elements to the resulting images through painterly interventions, creating a series of new impressions. With chalk, ink and varnish on the paper, a new narrative unfolds and the previous photos and words recede into the background. The results become channels for unspoken sensations and untold stories. In my collection of 76 works, with which I convey the poetry of Greece, I reinterpret the motifs of a region, abandoning classical symbols and colours. The originals are digitised and printed and bound in a book with attention to detail.
